Before You File Your Claim

  • Notify facility management of loss or damage details. You must report loss to TPP within 60 days of discovery.
  • Take steps to secure and/or protect your valuables from further loss or damage
  • Take photos of items that were damaged
  • In the case of Burglary or Vandalism, contact your local Police Department immediately and file an official police report. A copy of the report is required to close a burglary/vandalism claim. Provide photos of cut lock or other damage to the unit to TPP.
  • Reimbursement for loss or damage is determined by the cost to repair or replace your item(s), up to the limit or protection you purchased.
  • Do not discard damaged property until a claims adjuster has contacted you and advised that these may be discarded.  If this is not possible, take photos of the items in the unit before discarding them.
  • Do not remove items from unit without first letting facility management verify the damage.
